Governance and accountability
Shared discernment
Amplify’s governance is intentionally collaborative, accountable, and non-hierarchical, reflecting its understanding of leadership as service to the wider mission.
The Amplify Council
The Council is the primary discernment and accountability body.
It consists of:
- one representative from each founding church,
- regional representatives,
- and a limited number of nominated leaders with relevant experience or expertise.
The Council:
- sets strategic direction in service of Amplify’s mission,
- discerns priorities and advocacy positions,
- and holds the organisation’s directors accountable.
The Amplify Board of Directors
The directors are legally responsible for the non-profit entity.
- All directors are members of the Council
- Directors are required to act in alignment with Council decisions
- Major decisions require Council approval
This model ensures clarity without centralisation, and leadership without domination.
